Membership fees are paid on an annual basis. Life members and non-sailing volunteers do not pay a membership fee.
Members who have not paid their membership fees by June 21st are considered in arrears. A late payment fee may be added after this date. No member shall be entitled to to have their name engraved upon or receive any trophy unless they are financial for that season; except trophies for open events which may be awarded to any person who is a financial member for that season of a club affiliated to YNZ. NPCL opening day usually occurs in September/October.
I understand that sailing ( including learn to sail, and coaching,) and yacht racing have inherent risks and dangers that are beyond the control of Naval Point Club Lyttelton. I agree to be bound by the Racing Rules of Sailing and all other rules that govern events held by Naval Point Club Lyttelton. I understand that neither the Club, its officers, members and servants nor other persons assisting with the conduct of sailing and events at the Club accept any responsibility in respect of any injury or loss to person or property that may be sustained by reason of participation or howsoever arising. I understand that information from this form will be used by Naval Point Club Lyttelton to compile membership lists which may be published in the Annual Report, given to Incorporated Societies or provided to sponsors or potential sponsors and any other purpose the Club may have. I give consent to my name, address, telephone number and any other information forming part of the membership/regatta entry list(s) which may be published, or disclosed as per the above. I agree to the use of my photograph(s), video(s) and other relevant information in any event publicity and in the ongoing promotion of New Zealand Yachting. I agree to Naval Point Club Lyttelton holding this information for the general administration and well-being of the sport. I understand I have rights under the Privacy Act 1993 to access and correct this information. The consent is given in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993.
Information provided in this membership form will be shared with Yachting New Zealand for the purposes of meeting this club's affiliation requirements to the national body as per the Yachting New Zealand Constitution. This will allow Yachting New Zealand to create your membership card and communicate with you ( by post and electronically ) about your membership ( e.g. by sending you emails about membership benefits and newsletters). Yachting New Zealand will not share your information with any other organisations. You can access and correct personal information that Yachting New Zealand holds by contacting Yachting New Zealand at PO Box 33 1487, Takapuna, Auckland 0740 or via email. When Yachting New Zealand sends you any electronic communications, it will provide an express option for you to decline to receive any further electronic communications from Yachting New Zealand, via an opt-out mechanism.
The Club's AGM and main prizegiving is usually in late June or July. It will be notified by email, on the club website or by post
