One of the groups within Naval Point Club Lyttelton are our trailerable yacht fraternity, who enjoy both racing and cruising activities on Whakaraupo. The Canterbury Trailer Yacht Squadron operates as a fleet within the Naval Point Club Lyttelton and has its own social events and trophies in addition to participating in main Club events.
The Trailer Yacht fleet is very active and members sail as far afield from Lyttelton to Akaroa, while many others tow their boats to lakes and other holiday locations around the country. Most popular being Marlborough Sounds and Tasman Bay.
The squadron manages storage space for over 100 trailer yachts. A waiting list operates and anyone seeking space should contact the CTYS directly to organise a storage space. A CTYS allocated storage site cannot be transfered to other parties.
